Kindergarten's Finger Paintings

Kindergartner's got to finger paint!! Boy was it messy!! We have used paintbrushes already this year, but had yet to create masterpieces with our fingers only...so it was definitely time. They mixed the primary colors and made some very interesting and colorful creations. We tried to keep everyone as clean as possible, but some paint did end up on a few noses and cheeks! :)

First Grade's Overlapping Jack-O-Lanterns

First grade also learned about overlapping and what it looks like when objects are doing so. They drew, cut out and glued jack-o-lanterns and overlapped them with each other. A few students forgot to make their jack-o-lanterns overlap...but that's ok!
These turned out to be really cute and the faces on some of them are too funny!

Kindergarten's Primary Colored Rectangles and Squares

Kindergarten reviewed the Primary colors which are red, yellow, and blue. Then they glued black strips of paper to create places to glue the primary colored rectangles and squares. This was the first time in Art that they used REAL glue bottles--so a lesson in not using WAY too much glue came into play also. :)
They did a really super job!

Second Grade's Spiders Overlapping Jack-O-Lanterns

In Second grade we discussed what overlapping means and made sentences with various objects in the room and how they overlapped each other. For their artwork the students drew, cut out, and glued half a jack-o-lantern then created a spider to overlap the pumpkin. These turned out so cute!
