Third Grade's Tinted Blue Skies and Silhouette Cities

After third graders finished their tinted blue skies you saw in an earlier post, we discussed how when the sun is setting or rising and it's mostly dark outside, you will see things in silhouette form. You won't be able to see details and colors of things, but will see the outline shapes. They created cityscapes in silhouette form where the buildings and objects were all black except where lights were shining through. I enjoyed seeing the creative ways they were thinking by the various types of objects/buildings they put in their cities!
(Sorry I didn't have the names for these.)
